Air-conditioning your crawlspace?

I am in crawlspaces quite a bit, usually I am following a home inspector or contractor. Often this time of the year the crawlspace is nice and cool, sometimes downright chilly! Duct work and air handlers in crawlspace often leak, nice cool air that is intended for your living room is lost in the crawlspace. Worst even, your air handler may be drawing air from your crawlspace and venting it into your home, yuk! The remedy to both these issues is to seal your system tightly and with the proper materials. For more information check out this site and then call a local heat and air technician, I would be happy to recommend one just get in touch.

Chapel Hill Schools: What a Difference 25 Years Can Make

My 25th high school reunion is in 2 weeks, it’s so cliché but really, where
does the time go? I was just looking at the Chapel Hill-Carrboro City School
system’s website, my how the system has grown.
(http://www2.chccs.k12.nc.us/education/components/board/default.php?sectiond
etailid=73134
&
) When I graduated from Chapel Hill Sr. High School in
1985, it was the only high school in the city school system. Today there are
3 high schools. When I graduated from Culbreth Jr. High School in 1982 it
was 1 of 2 Junior Highs (Middle Schools have since replaced Junior Highs),
today there are 4 Middle Schools. There were 6 elementary schools in the
city system in 1985, today there are 10. In all 8 new schools have opened in
the Chapel Hill City School system since I last walked the hallways of CHHS.
